Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of Professor Ewa Bień, the members of the Organizing Committee, and myself, I am delighted to invite you to the 3rd Polish National Conference on Vascular Tumors and Malformations, which will take place in Łódź on 5–6 March 2027. The conference will be held in the exceptional surroundings of the Vienna House by Wyndham Andel’s Łódź and the Poznański Palace, both located in the heart of Manufaktura – a revitalized complex of 19th-century textile factories.
The event will bring together renowned experts from Poland and across Europe, most of whom are actively involved in VASCERN-VASCA, the European Reference Network for Rare Multisystemic Vascular Diseases.
Confirmed international speakers include:
- Prof. Miikka Vikkula (Belgium) – Clinical Genetics
- Prof. Laurence Boon (Belgium) – Plastic Surgery
- Prof. Annouk Bisdorff-Bresson (France) – Interventional Radiology
- Prof. Jaroslav Štěrba (Czech Republic) – Oncology and Hematology
- Prof. Giacomo Colletti (Italy) – Maxillofacial Surgery
- Dr Carine van der Vleuten (the Netherlands) – Dermatology
Previous editions of the conference have demonstrated steadily growing interest in vascular anomalies, not only among pediatric surgeons and oncologists but also among radiologists, vascular, plastic and maxillofacial surgeons, dermatologists, and specialists from many other disciplines.
Although vascular anomalies may appear to represent a highly specialized field, they affect a substantial number of patients, pose numerous clinical challenges, and frequently require close multidisciplinary collaboration. Considerable unmet needs remain, particularly in the diagnosis and treatment of adult patients.
For this third edition, we are introducing a more interactive, case-based format. Each session will begin with a lecture delivered by an international expert, followed by presentations of challenging clinical cases. These cases will provide the basis for multidisciplinary discussion involving the invited expert, panel members, and conference participants.
The entire conference will be conducted in English. We hope that this will facilitate an open exchange of knowledge and experience with our international experts, while also encouraging physicians from other countries to participate.
The conference will be followed immediately by a special session bringing together patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. A similar session held during the previous edition attracted considerable interest and was very well received.
I am confident that the conference will provide a valuable forum for exchanging knowledge and experience, establishing professional collaborations, and working together to identify the best possible solutions for patients.
I also hope that all participants will enjoy the unique atmosphere of Łódź’s Manufaktura.
Professor Przemysław Przewratil
Chair of the Conference Organizing Committee
